Mercenary Gestures: 2013

This rose colored flag is raised to mark the end of the unspoken hostility of banality and to meet it with a violence of information that rests untapped in language's architecture, a hostility of its own for certain and a break with social debacles that mold the supine moments of life into a tedious law of averages measurement documented by phony family photographs and stereotypical media announcements. It is also an attempt to reclaim the leverages of historicity in the form of transcribed legend, to invoke raw subjectivity of observation and action, to collage the successes of revolutionary gesture into electronic artifice, and to call out every asshole who ever stood to stand the stink of establishment rhetoric. And, it is the luminous scrapbook of madnesses that in their expose may offer us new alternatives to the prescribed insanity of a life lived with detachment.
